Uh, I could probably do pixel art for you guys if you're interested? I just can't do anything... humanoid, really. That's my main issue. Anything that's mostly animalistic is much easier for me to do.

I. Love. Pixel. Art. It is such an awesome media. I loved your Aperi art and now also your Nightfury and wolf.

This is just too cool. I also really like the little bit of movement involved as well.

I'm trying to figure out how to do more advanced animations, but like... That bobbing Aperi head that blinks is literally the most advanced one I've made so far.

I can't even imagine the time and effort you would have to put in to do that. However, I can say it works very well. Aperi looks extra creepy just from the way she blinks.

Totally jealous. What's your favorite thing to draw btw? When I used to doodle and draw, I loved drawing wolves. I also had trouble with humanoid shapes.

I really love drawing anything with four legs. My favorite to draw are reptilian animals though. Just something about the claws and scales and slitted eyes. Anything creepy or bloody is something I like to draw in all honesty.

Excuse me while I build a massive Pixel-Art Aperi in Minecraft. I'll screenshot it in a bit.

Edit : Zero out of ten, would not get grieved again. Not even going to try finishing that build. ;~;

Awwwww. It would have been epic, but I totally understand. Those little pixel arts are awesome, but tedious.

Big builds like that take forever anyway, I probably wouldn't have finished it even if I wasn't grieved. I've been doing little pixel-art icons for some friends on another forum though, check these suckers out ;

I've been doing some digital paintings recently. It's not great, but I only just started practicing.

Those are actually pretty good! Hey, when you draw, what's the stuff you use? I myself have... Well, a Windows7 desktop computer, a mouse, and FireAlpaca, which is a free art program I found on the internet. I do my drawings... by mouse. Help me.

@Aperi I really, really like the lavender dragon. However, all the others are really cool, too. The poses are very cute.

@Savrix Digital paintings are super hard to pull off, but you definitely are on the right track I can see. It is really cool to see, because it is so much more that I could ever do.

I don't even think I have drawings or paintings from the time when I was trying to learn how to be good at art.

I like to hand draw things. I like to just make pure pencil drawings because I'm not that great with color. Oh yeah , and I draw dragons! (I'm horrible at drawing people) I have also tried to do some digital/pixel art like the Image of Qomorah I did. here is a dragon I have been working on recently.

Woah, that's hella cool! I can never bring myself to do detailed work like that... I always give up on it halfway through because it never looks the way I want it to.

Wow. How many hours have you put into all that detail? Those scales are very nicely drawn, so I'm thinking that took eons. Also, I enjoy the shading very much.

So I'm thinking, why not post some of my older pixel art? I just want to show you my progression. It will go from some of my oldest samples to my newer ones, but the newest I've already posted. It takes me a while and I tend to end up deleting half of the art I do... so finished products are kind of a rare thing.


This is a template I had made for edits in WolfHaven, where I'd make it into people's characters for... like, a single point I think it was. Here are some examples of what I did:



I did another template that I had planned to make edits for, but... I made the template and that was it, there wasn't anything much after that.

I improved on those wolf gifs, ended up making a small batch for some people of WolfHaven...

And pixel art wasn't the only thing I was limited to! I tend to draw a lot on my 3DS using the app 'Colors3D!' and uploaded them to my computer with the SD card, and edited them so they were semi-transparent.

Thank you! I use Painttool SAI, Photoshop CC and a Wacom Intuos Small for these.

Speaking of art, though... holy bongs, my sister's species has so much written behind it. She's been trying to find all those pieces of paper and ruined drawings and journals she's had everything written down on, and filling in the spaces with what she's remembered. What she has on the forums is not nEARly the amount that's been written. Is this what pride feels like? She's spent at least four years working on one goddamn OC and their history and species and backstory and home and their way of living... like seriously, help, she's only 14. How can she even type the shit she types, she knows so many words I've never even seen.

I don't even think you want to know how much equipment I have. Not just for art, but I make music as well.

I don't think I'd be able to deal with all that stuff plugged in everywhere. I need to have my shit organised or I'll go nuts.

And, hmm. Do you by chance happen to have an affinity for Dubstep, Glitchhop, or Electric; as well as genres that fall in between those lines? Those tend to be my favorites. Though I generally like all music minus rap, which I just hate because it's hardly music, heavy metal because I can't tell what they're screaming? are they screaming to a beat?, annnd polka and country because I grew up with them... And with everyone loving them, I grew up to hate them with a passion. I tend to dislike the happy tunes of polka, it's just noise I'd rather not hear; and the twang of country and it's usual talk of tractors, depression, beer and bitches doesn't really appeal to me or my tastes.

My favourite genres are drum 'n' bass, deep house and electro. I like everything but polka, though. Not because I can't stand the sound, but because it's too repetitive to me.
